How It Started
The journey began in 1999; I came from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to the United States, got married, and came to live in La Porte, Texas, with my husband, who has been living here most of his life. I told my husband that I wanted a part-time job because I would get bored at home.
So we went to talk to his friend Mr. Garcia. He hired me as a dishwasher. As time went by, I moved up to cleaning tables, taking orders, and then started cooking; 20 years later, he taught me everything in the business. In 2017, I took over the new restaurant Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant.
